Conceptual descriptive study of TSH hormone as Rasdhatvagni with special reference to citation in Rasadhatu

The present study is a conceptual descriptive exploration of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) in the context of Rasadhatvagni, i.e a key metabolic principle in Ayurveda responsible for the production and nourishment of Rasa Dhatu. TSH plays a vital role in regulating thyroid gland function with the help of thyroid hormones like thyroxine, tetraiodothyronine and overall metabolic homeostasis in the modern biomedical framework. Whereas also plays crucial role in diagnosis of thyroid disorders. Similarly, Rasadhatvagni governs the initial stages of digestion and tissue metabolism, making it fundamental to the formation of subsequent Dhatus (tissues). This study aims to bridge the concepts of contemporary endocrinology and classical Ayurvedic physiology by analyzing the functional parallels between TSH, Rasadhatvagni and Rasadhatu vikruti.
