The dynamics of the political process in Brazil: luiz inacio lula da silva's third term
The article analyzes the main problems of the third mandate of the president of Brazil Luiz Incio Lula da Silva, which began on January 1, 2023.Lula himself inspired the marginalized strata with hope for the return of a successful policy of social reform. However, his current presidency has unfolded in completely new conditions. The domestic political landscape is characterized by polarization and radicalization of political life.Bolsonarism has not left the political arena and has been gaining strength.Lula's implementation of election promises and social programs encounters obstacles due to conflicts between the branches of power and the activation of opposition parties. The electoral advantage of center-right politicians and the retreat of the left were also demonstrated by the municipal elections of October 2024.The pre-election year of 2025 poses difficult tasks for the president and his cabinet in maintaining their political leadership.
