ENHANCING OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE IN GLOBAL CAPABILITY CENTERS: A BENCHMARK DRIVEN FRAMEWORK FOR DIGITAL INNOVATION AND ENTERPRISE VALUE CREATION

The evolution of Global Capability Centers from cost-reduction entities to strategic innovation hubs represents a fundamental shift in enterprise operations. This investigation analyzes operational excellence methodologies, performance benchmarking systems, and digital transformation approaches that distinguish high-performing GCCs within India's ecosystem. With India hosting over 1,800 centers employing 1.9 million professionals and generating $64.6 billion revenue in 2024, growth projections indicate expansion to $110 billion by 2030. Through comprehensive analysis of industry data and comparative performance studies, this research identifies critical success factors and proposes a four-pillar excellence framework encompassing strategic alignment, process optimization, technology leadership, and talent development. Findings reveal that leading GCCs achieve 15% higher digital maturity, 22% superior cost optimization, and 55% greater process automation compared to industry averages.
