A Multifactor Stochastic Model of Countering Steganographic Attacks Under Differential Game Conditions Taking into Account the Financial Resources of the Parties

The relevance of the research is due to the increasing need for rational allocation of financial resources (FR) to ensure information security (IS) in the context of modern cyber threats to IS objects. One of the most important tasks in ensuring IS of steganographic object systems (SSO) is to effectively counter steganographic attacks. To achieve this goal, FRs are needed. Funding for the processes of defending SSOs and attacking them are interrelated and can affect the outcome of the confrontation between the parties. The defending side needs FRs to acquire and deploy defense tools. The attacking side needs FRs to develop attack tools. A multifactor game model of countering steganographic attacks under conditions of stochastic uncertainty with a focus on the financial aspects of such a countering is considered. The model is based on the assumption that the dynamics of financial states of the defending and attacking players is given by a system of differential equations describing the dynamics of multivariate variables. The novelty of the model lies in finding the solution of a bilinear stochastic differential quality game with multiple terminal surfaces. The results of a computational experiment are presented, during which various ratios of parameters, financial resources of the parties of the game in the process of countering steganographic attacks were varied.
