High Efficiency Floorplan Method for Ultra Wide Band System
As electronic systems become more complex, optimizing the floorplan of board-level circuit chips is crucial for thermal management and signal integrity. This study proposes a parallel global optimization algorithm based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to enhance the chip-floorplan configuration in an Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communication system. The algorithm enables a global search within a constrained multidimensional solution space, avoiding local optimal and simultaneously optimizing peak temperature and interconnect length. A cross-platform collaborative simulation framework integrating MATLAB and COMSOL has been developed, with MATLAB handling the optimization logic and COMSOL performing thermal conduction simulations to ensure computational accuracy. Experimental results show that, compared to traditional Simulated Annealing (SA) methods, the proposed approach reduces the fitness function value by 94.3% and the number of convergence steps by 47.5%, confirming the reliability of this intelligent floorplan strategy and offering an effective solution for high-intelligent circuit design optimization.
