Research on Ship Energy Management Strategy of Equivalent Minimum Consumption Based on Ant-Lion Optimization Algorithm

A hybrid energy management strategy for fuel cell ships is proposed, utilizing ant-lion multi-objective optimization to overcome the challenges of determining the equivalence factor in traditional equivalent minimum fuel consumption strategies and the limitations of energy efficiency improvements. The strategy first allocates the ship’s load power based on the traditional equivalent minimum fuel consumption method. Next, an adaptivity function is constructed for different operating conditions, and the ant-lion optimization algorithm is employed to optimize the equivalence factor, minimizing hydrogen consumption and enhancing energy management efficiency. Finally, the proposed strategy is validated through Matlab/Simulink simulations. Results demonstrate that the strategy significantly reduces fuel cell power fluctuations, lowers hydrogen consumption, and improves bus voltage stability. These findings offer valuable insights for the engineering application of ship power quality management.
