Dynamic Monitoring of Robinia Pseudoacacia Forests Health Based on Cluster Analysis of TM Time Series Remote Sensing Data
The distribution area and health status of the Robinia pseudoacacia forests in the Yellow River Delta are important symbols of the local biodiversity level, and are of significance for ecological protection and sustainable development. Based on Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) remote sensing images from 1985, 1996, and 2005, in conjunction with field survey data on the coverage and health conditions of Robinia pseudoacacia forests sample plots, various vegetation indices such as the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Normalized Water Index (NDWI), Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI), and other relevant parameters were employed to establish the health status threshold of Robinia pseudoacacia forests. Cluster analysis was utilized to determine the distribution range of three distinct categories based on the health status of Robinia pseudoacacia forests. The comparison of the health status of Robinia pseudoacacia forests in different periods found the related change rules and influencing factors, and provided a scientific basis for the management and protection of the artificial Robinia pseudoacacia forests land.
