Study on Blocking Interference Effect of Single Frequency Continuous Wave Electromagnetic Radiation for Typical Radar
To improve the electromagnetic protection capability of radar, the paper takes typical radar as the research object to reveal blocking interference effect of single frequency electromagnetic radiation on radar. Firstly, based on the principle of radar ranging, the paper basically grasp the change rule of useful signal level and gain on the interference field strength, through analysis of circuit nonlinear distortion. Secondly, the effect test is carried out with a certain model of radar as subject. The test results demonstrate that single frequency continuous wave electromagnetic radiation can produce an interference sector to the tested radar. The effective interference probability can be implied as evaluation index of blocking interference effect and with different frequencies of electromagnetic radiation interference, its test result is basically consistent with the interference field strength. Theoretically, effective interference probability of 50% can be used as the susceptibility criterion of electromagnetic radiation blocking interference effect, and the sensitive frequency deviation is about – 40 MHz~40 MHz of blocking interference effect of the tested radar.
