Design and Implementation of a Peltier-Based Vaccine Cooling System for Efficient Cold Chain Management

The pressing demand for cold storage of vaccines in conditions usually prevalent in remote areas or resourcepoor settings has accelerated innovative responses. This present study, therefore, introduces the design and implementation of the new cold vaccine storage box using Peltier-based thermoelectric technology. The system, designed to provide a constant temperature between 2·15·C, a required temperature for vaccine efficacy while carrying up to 12-15 vials, Key to this device is smart power management in that it's able to forecast optimum usage and sustain precision temperature regulation even in supply constraint. The internal temperature within the device is managed with great care through the positive interaction of a Peltier chip, a heat sink, and a thermoelectric controller. It includes the installation of sensors to monitor the ambient condition and internal temperature in real time, the data accessible on a cloud server and through a mobile application. This research is contributing to the further development of the vaccine cold chain coordination by introducing a technologically advanced solution that is scalable and efficient. The proposed cold vaccine storage box will ensure the integrity of vaccines, their streamlined tracking, and monitoring; it will contribute to improving performance in public health efforts.
