Wearable Sensors and Systems for Personalized Healthcare Monitoring
Wearable sensors and systems have emerged as a paradigm for personalized healthcare monitoring, allowing users to see their health status in real time and make choices about their well-being. Utilizing lightweight, non-invasive body-worn sensors that continuously capture vital health data around heart rate, blood pressure, activity levels and sleep data. The received data is transmitted to a mobile device or cloud platform that is processed and can be visualized, allowing the individual to keep track of their health status over time and identify any problems. This type of personalized feedback and alerts based on individual health needs and goals, which can be provided using wearable sensors and systems, is one of its main strengths. This enables early identification of possible health problems and the opportunity for prevention. They're also effective at encouraging healthy behaviors, including physical activity and sleep. Wearable sensors and systems can enable new medical diagnosis and treatment possibilities by providing doctors with accurate, continuous patient monitoring data. They help patients manage chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension by monitoring vital signs and adherence to medication remotely.
