Securing Serverless Environments: A Blockchain-Based Approach for Licensing and Payment Verification
Cracked software that exploits serverless computing resources has become a significant security concern for cloud providers, leading to cost inflation and heightened security risks. This paper examines how unauthorized software bypasses subscription models, triggering excessive resource consumption and Denial-of-Wallet (DoW) attacks. We explore the impact of these exploits on cloud service providers' financial stability and security. We propose detection mechanisms and preventive strategies to mitigate these risks, including anomaly detection and access control improvements, to protect both the platform and its users.
