Deep Integration Analysis of MEC Computing Nodes and CDN PoP Nodes
The new video services, such as Augment Reality/Virtual Reality, Cloud Game, Immersive Communication and Artificial Intelligent Generated Content, etc., have put forward the actual demands for the Internet with ultra-high bandwidth, ultra-low delay and super computing power. This paper analyzes and summarize the upgrading of CDN PoP (Content Delivery Network Point of Present) node to Edge Computing Node integrating with communication network capabilities, and a PoC (Prove of Concept) is built on open-source software for the validation of system. Deep node integration can simplify the process of content generation and distribution, achieve real-time content delivery, significantly enhance user experiences, and is a kind of technical exploration of future integrated solution for edge content generation and delivery.
