A Cross-Residual BP Decoding Algorithm for Dual-Polar JSCC
In this letter, we propose a Cross-Residual BP (CR-BP) decoding algorithm for dual-polar joint source-channel coding (JSCC). In CR-BP, through constraining the number of skip connections, we reduce the additional complexity brought about by Cross-Residual architecture. Additionally, an information shuffling strategy between iterations is designed for CR-BP. Through enriching the information propagation paths across different iterations, historical information is efficiently inherited in subsequent iterations. The numerical results show that the CR-BP decoder can improve error correction and accelerate convergence compared to traditional decoding at a low complexity cost.
