Aplicação da Análise Microgenética de Videogravação para Caracterização das Interações Lúdicas entre Humanos e Cães

There is a growing interest in Psychology in studies on dog behavior, particularly regarding interactions involving humans. These studies are mostly quantitative and do not focus on capturing the interactional dynamics between the individuals involved. Considering that qualitative analyses may be more suitable for this purpose, the aim of this study is to propose an adaptation of the microgenetic analysis method, imported from Developmental Psychology, for the study of interspecifi c social interactions, exemplifi ed through interactions between humans and dogs. The method is presented and exemplifi ed with an exploratory-descriptive study on human-dog interaction based on three episodes used to investigate interactive fl ows of communicative exchanges and social regulation experienced in domestic environments. For the analysis, videos of dogs and their guardians in playful interaction contexts –submitted by the guardians themselves – were used. The microgenetic analysis proved eff ective for this area of study by enabling the description and access to ontogenetic transformation processes, contributing to investigations into the dog’s developmental environment and human-dog interactions
