The Design and Implementation of an Open Laboratory Reservation Mini-Program Based on PHP

With the continuous development of digital education, students' learning demands have become increasingly diverse and personalized, thus posing new requirements for the management of university laboratories. This paper develops an open laboratory reservation mini-program using PHP language. It is based on the WeChat Mini Program platform, with MySQL database used for data storage and management, and Nginx server for efficient network services. During the implementation process, a front-end and back-end separation architecture is adopted. The front-end uses WXML, WXSS, and JavaScript technologies of WeChat Mini Program to build the interactive interface, while the back-end uses PHP to write business logic code to achieve interaction with the database. The system realizes functions including teacher identity authentication, laboratory situation release, laboratory management, student reservation, reservation review, message management, and regional positioning. In addition, by leveraging AI technology, intelligent appointment reservations are provided based on the analysis of students' historical appointment data. Through this system, students can conveniently and quickly reserve laboratories according to their own needs for extracurricular experimental practice, meeting the demands of stratified teaching. Additionally, this system provides an effective improvement approach to balance the uneven distribution of laboratory resources among universities, thereby promoting the realization of educational equity.
