Single Receiver Positioning Method Based on TDOA/AOA

This paper introduces a single receiver positioning method that combines Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) and Angle of Arrival (AOA) measurements. To address the nonlinear challenges in single receiver positioning, the nonlinear problem is transformed into a matrix-form pseudo-linear equation by introducing auxiliary variables. The non-convex weighted least squares (WLS) problem is relaxed into a semidefinite programming (SDP) problem using the semidefinite relaxation (SDR) algorithm, enabling accurate estimation of unknown variables. Additionally, the root mean square error (RMSE) of the proposed algorithm is analyzed, and its performance is validated by comparing it with the Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB). Simulation results demonstrate that the SDR algorithm can approach the CRLB under low Gaussian noise conditions.
