Real Time RFID-GPS Integrated Package Tracking and Monitoring System
The traditional parcel tracking systems show several deficiencies such as delayed operations and imprecise tracking mechanisms which results in poor logistics management together with dissatisfied customers. This research introduces a real-time tracking system based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Global Positioning System (GPS) integration to solve existing monitoring accuracy and reliability in addition to transparency issues. The system employs an EM-18 RFID reader together with a Neo GPS module to enhance communication between RFID-based identification and GPS-based geolocation tracking through the NodeMCU microcontroller. During dispatch operations at warehouses RFID tags trigger immediate updates regarding parcel status and specific locations to customers. The system sends equivalent notifications throughout parcel movement starting from its transit phase through delivery completion. Organization integration to ThingSpeak provides the system with enhanced capabilities that facilitate real-time location mapping as well as monitoring functions. The IoT-based system uses advanced tracking methods that increase operational speed and eliminates package errors to create superior customer satisfaction through modern tracking solutions.
