Development of a Remote Monitoring System for Intelligent All-Electric Ships Based on 4G Network and Web Technology
In order to better achieve remote monitoring and energy management of intelligent unmanned ships, real-time monitoring of their operating status from shore, and improve the safety and convenience of intelligent unmanned ships, a fully electric unmanned ship remote monitoring system based on 4G network and web technology has been developed. Through the analysis of system design requirements, it was decided to use a 4G DTU (Data Terminal Unit) to enable real-time transmission of unmanned ship data, primarily including longitude and latitude data and battery-related information. This data is transmitted via the 4G network to Alibaba Cloud servers. Subsequently, by accessing the server from the PC terminal, relevant data, such as the unmanned ship’s location and battery information, can be retrieved and displayed in real-time. The unmanned ship’s battery and location data are simultaneously stored in a MySQL database. By displaying battery data in real-time, potential anomalies in battery performance can be identified in a timely manner. Additionally, the real-time display of the ship’s location data allows for remote monitoring of its operational status.
