Lifeline Connect: A Web-based Multi-Feature System for Mental Health Support
Suicide is a growing public health crisis, particularly among young adults, with increasing cases linked to anxiety, depression, and stress. Many individuals facing these challenges do so in isolation, without the support system needed to share their struggles or receive motivation. To address this critical issue, we have developed Lifeline Connect, a comprehensive web application designed to support mental well-being and prevent mental health crises. Lifeline Connect offers several key features, including real-time mood tracking, guided relaxation techniques, an AI-powered chatbot providing personalized support, and a safe, anonymous peer support community. The app uses advanced artificial intelligence to tailor mental health advice based on user inputs, allowing for an individualized experience that addresses each person’s unique emotional state. By integrating all these features into one platform, Lifeline Connect creates a safe, empathetic space for users to explore their emotions, practice coping mechanisms, and seek timely assistance. With 24/7 accessibility, it ensures that users can receive help whenever they need it most. This scalable, inclusive solution empowers individuals of all age groups to manage their mental health effectively, build emotional resilience, and prevent drastic outcomes such as suicide and self-harm. By providing continuous support and fostering a sense of community, Lifeline Connect offers a sustainable and accessible resource for mental health management.
