Forest fire-induced air pollution events in the Himalayan region: urgent need for regional collaboration and action

Pre-monsoon forest fires in the Himalayan region contribute to severe air pollution episodes across the region. Based on the analysis of PM2.5 concentrations and forest fire events, we aim to highlight an urgent need for transboundary efforts to address the challenges posed by forest fire-induced air pollution episodes.
