Unveiling stories of growth: A longitudinal exploration of teacher self-efficacy in culturally responsive and linguistically responsive practices
Through narrative inquiry, the authors traced one teacher's journey from a community college student to in-service specialized educator for culturally and linguistically diverse students. The teacher's narratives highlighted pivotal experiences shaping her professional growth by examining how community cultural wealth enhanced her teacher self-efficacy in culturally and linguistically responsive practices. This study contributes to a nuanced understanding of the complex interplay between societal norms, educational ideologies, and the development of teachers' sense of preparedness to support culturally and linguistically diverse students.
