Development of Phase Envelop for Condensate Gas Using Dwsim Considering Various Influential Parameters
Abstract The oil and gas industry centers on global energy supply, providing essential hydrocarbons for fuel, electricity, and industrial processes. The exploration and production of condensate gases from the reservoir requires efficient processing and transportation which involves thorough understanding of phase behavior. The existing model lacks the intricacy to represent the conditions encountered in the real-world reservoir. This study addresses the need to develop phase envelope for condensate gas with focus on enhancing reservoir management and optimizing operational parameters. Simulation of gas condensate phase envelope using DWSIM software begins with feed at 21.4°C and 32.114kgf/cm² pressure, with mass flow rate of 5852.84kg/h. The feed pressure reduced to 8.5barg and heating with 4009kW before separator processing. The results show that the bubble point separated to two-phase state. In the simulation, Gas Condensate 1 remains in gas phase, while Gas Condensate 2 reaches the dew point. The developed computer simulator optimizes temperature, pressure, and separators in gas condensate reservoirs. Its ability to predict liquid volumes and potential for integration with other simulators shows its importance in improving analysis and operational efficiency in gas condensate systems.
