OPERATIONAL OPTIMIZATION OF RESTAURANTS USING DATA MODELLING AND SIMULATION TECHNIQUES
A comprehensive engineering approach was employed to enhance restaurant profitability through advanced system modelling, data analysis, and discrete-event simulation. The operational workflow of the restaurant's service system was rigorously examined using queuing theory and engineering principles, with critical parameters systematically identified.Extensive data collection and analysis provided insights into customer flow, service durations, and process bottlenecks.Utilizing Arena simulation software, the system was modelled to evaluate the effectiveness of various operational strategies under realistic conditions. The findings underscore the value of engineering-driven simulation in identifying key profitability factors and offer actionable recommendations for optimizing service processes, reducing wait times, and maximizing operational efficiency.
