Design of VGA image dynamic display system based on FPGA and Verilog

This paper proposes a design scheme of VGA image display and dynamic control system based on FPGA and Verilog HDL. Through DE2-115 development board and VGA interface hardware platform, combined with high-precision timing control module, pixel data generation module and dynamic image logic, the stable display of 300×300 pixel images and the dynamic movement of 45° Angle under standard VGA mode (640×480@60Hz) are realized. The system uses 16-bit high-color mode to store image data, generates ROM initialization file by MATLAB pre-processing, and optimizes synchronization signal generation, boundary collision detection and direction control logic by using modular design idea. The experimental results show that the image display of the system is flicker-free, rip-free, responsive to dynamic movement, and has high engineering practicability and expansibility.
