Field Trial of a Coastal Surveillance System Exploiting a Multistatic Multiband Photonics-Based Radar in Coherent Sparse MIMO Configuration
A multistatic and multiband radar system based on sparse MIMO configuration which is enabled by microwave photonics technology, has been developed, installed and tested at the Livorno Port in Italy for coastal surveillance. It represents the first prototype of a coherent radar system with three distributed and cooperating active radar heads resulting in advanced performance.
