Design of a large aperture high-resolution fisheye lens for automotive surround-view systems
This paper presents the optical design of a high-resolution ultra-wide-angle fisheye lens using the Sony IMX623 sensor, aimed at automotive surround-view camera modules. The design achieves a horizontal field of view of 195 degrees and a vertical field of view of 156 degrees, with F-theta distortion under 10%. The f-number<2.0, and lens total length<16.5mm.The pixels per Degree (PPD) for the full field of view >12.7, with the center >15 and the edges >13.7. The Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) at 1/2 frequency (83lp/mm) in the center >60%, at 0.5 field >50%, and at 0.8 field > 40%. The lens meets automotive-specific tests and regulations, making it suitable for mass production and fulfilling market demand.
