The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Consumer Behavior and Decision-Making
This article discusses the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on customers’ behavior and decision-making. Therefore, as marketing and sales accept AI at an increasing rate, it is important to examine its effect on consumer choices. In this research paper, there is a review of previous research literature together with new findings that focus on how the AI-based tools including chatbots, recommendation systems and personalized advertisement affect customer’s behavior. The findings show that AI significantly affects consumer’s decision-making process as far as useful purposes are concerned such as usefulness, individualization, and efficiency improvement respectively. Nonetheless, concerns about privacy data and partiality in AI-driven decisions also come up during their judgment calls. Finally, this paper concludes by outlining how these results would influence marketers, policymakers or further studies.
