Raspberry PI-Based Text-To-Speech Conversion and Object Recognition for Blind Persons

This paper focuses on the development of an innovative assistive technology solution using Raspberry Pi 3B+ Rob craze, Python- tesseract is an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tool for Python. Tesseract OCR, and Open CV to enhance the independence and accessibility of visually impaired individuals. The primary objectives of the work done in this project are to provide real-time text-to speech conversion and object recognition capabilities, enabling blind people to navigate by themselves all the surroundings more effectively without the help of another person. The implementation involves the integration of Raspberry Pi, a versatile and affordable single-board computer, with Tesseract OCR for text extraction and OpenCV for object recognition. The Python programming language serves as the backbone for creating a cohesive and functional system. The proposed solution leverages the power of these technologies to convert printed or handwritten text into audible speech, facilitating the consumption of written information.
