Classification and Prediction of Age and Gender using Deep Learning
Accurately estimating age and classifying gender from facial images present significant challenges due to the complex nature of human aging and facial diversity. This research focuses on leveraging deep learning techniques to address these challenges, offering a comprehensive review of recent advancements in the field. The core objective of this study is to develop a robust framework utilizing deep learning models to infer gender and age from facial images with high accuracy. By analyzing the performance of various neural network architectures, we aim to identify the most effective models for this task. Our approach includes evaluating different training strategies, optimizing data requirements, and examining the impact of various image attributes such as lighting, occlusion, and facial expressions on predictive accuracy. Our findings demonstrate the significant potential of CNNs in improving the reliability of automated age and gender classification systems. The practical applications of this technology are extensive, ranging from enhanced security systems and surveillance to targeted advertising and personalized user experiences. In the realm of security, accurate age and gender classification can facilitate better monitoring and authentication processes, contributing to more effective and efficient operations. The models demonstrated an accuracy of 95%, precision of 94%, and recall of 93%, underscoring their robustness in age and gender prediction.
