A taxonomy on high-performance computing security management system

High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems have become critical infrastructures for scientific research, defense, and enterprise operations due to their unparalleled computational power. However, the increasing complexity and scale of these systems present significant security challenges, including threats to data integrity, confidentiality, and availability. This paper presents a comprehensive taxonomy of security management systems for HPC environments, categorizing various security techniques, policies, and frameworks used to safeguard these infrastructures. We explore the key aspects of security, including access control, encryption, anomaly detection, and vulnerability management, while addressing emerging risks such as insider threats and advanced persistent attacks. Furthermore, the taxonomy evaluates AI- augmented security solutions, compliance strategies, and the role of system architectures in improving security postures. Through this classification, the study aims to guide the development of robust, scalable, and adaptive security frameworks tailored for the next generation of HPC systems. Cloud Security is a practice aimed at protecting the systems, data, and digital information of people on the internet from unauthorized malicious attacks by cybercriminals. It is a security measure adopted by giant companies and governments to prevent cyber threats like hacking, malware attacks, viruses, ransomware, phishing attacks, and more. Cybersecurity in Cloud Services refers to a set of measures and practices designed to protect cloud-based resources coming from the attacker side like DDoS, ransomware, insider threats, phishing and other unknown sources. This research paper will explore the cyber threats to cloud services, attacks on cloud services, solutions for security in cloud services, challenges in cloud computing, and analysis of security measures of the top 3 cloud service providers.
