Mechanochromic polymer particles crosslinked by a radical-type mechanochromophore

Mechanochromic polymer particles were prepared using difluorenylsuccinonitrile, a radical-type mechanochromophore. The mechanochromic response correlated with particle size and polymer chain mobility.
