Green Computing: Techniques for Reducing IT Carbon Footprints
Among the many contributors to emissions, IT infrastructure ranks as one of the top carbon emitters worldwide. Green Computing is about reducing the amount of electronic waste and integrating more green technologies to minimize environmental impacts by improving energy efficiency. This paper discusses AI-powered workload scheduling, carbon-aware cloud computing, energy-efficient hardware, and energy monitoring through blockchain technology. In addition, the influence of IoT-based cooling systems and energy-efficient edge computing is also seen for both counts to contribute to sustainable IT practice. Through smart automation and on-the-fly optimization, the computing system can acquire optimal functionality with the reduction of energy consumption. Thus, based on effective means, this particular research delves into the way of sustainable development for digital infrastructure without having any compromise in computation efficiency.
