Blockchain-Enhanced Intrusion Detection Systems for Advanced Network Security
The rapid evolution of network technologies has necessitated the development of advanced security mechanisms to protect against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) have emerged as a critical component in safeguarding network infrastructures. However, traditional IDS face challenges such as single points of failure, lack of transparency, and vulnerability to tampering. This paper proposes a novel approach to enhance IDS by leveraging blockchain technology. By integrating blockchain, we aim to create a decentralized, tamper-proof, and transparent IDS framework that can significantly improve network security. The proposed system utilizes smart contracts to automate threat detection and response, ensuring real-time protection against intrusions. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the blockchain-enhanced IDS in detecting and mitigating various types of network attacks, highlighting its potential as a robust solution for advanced network security.
