Exploring the Relationship between Teacher Support and Learning Satisfaction in Online Learning Contexts: The Chain Mediating Role of Intrinsic Learning Motivation and Learning Engagement
In the digital age, online learning is becoming increasingly prevalent. Learning satisfaction is a crucial indicator for evaluating the success of online education. Teacher support plays a significant role in enhancing students' learning satisfaction. This study aims to explore the relationship between teacher support and learning satisfaction in online learning contexts, as well as the chain mediation effects of intrinsic learning motivation and learning engagement in this relationship. A total of 392 university students from China participated in the study. Results show that: (1) teacher support has a significant direct effect on learning satisfaction. (2) teacher support indirectly affects learning satisfaction through learning engagement. (3) teacher support indirectly impacts learning satisfaction via a chain mediation effect of intrinsic learning motivation and learning engagement. The study provides empirical evidence in improving learning satisfaction in online learning contexts.
