Power Allocation in Wireless Communication Networks Using Model Predictive Control Methods

An optimization approach for transmission power and control-input in accordance with the applied communication protocol is presented. The proposed algorithm is developed based on Model Predictive Control (MPC) optimization principles. The primary objective of the control system is to achieve reference tracking by efficiently managing power, thereby ensuring a stable transmission rate. Simulation results demonstrate that the closed-loop system achieves bounded tracking, thus guaranteeing reliable performance. This research contributes to the field of power management in communication systems and showcases the effectiveness of the proposed optimization algorithm in maintaining a stable transmission rate.
