Research on Adaptive Temperature Compensation Method in TFT-LCD Output Buffer

With the increasing demand for the application of TFT-LCD display technology in high dynamic temperature environments, the problem of display performance degradation caused by temperature drift in traditional output buffers needs to be solved. This paper proposes a TFT-LCD output buffer design method based on adaptive temperature compensation. The proposed solution establishes a closed-loop compensation system by integrating on-chip CMOS temperature sensing technology with dynamic bias control technology. The temperature data acquired in real-time by the sensor is processed through a digital module to generate optimized bias parameters. These parameters drive an adjustable constant current source to adaptively regulate the buffer's bias current, thereby significantly enhancing the device's thermal stability performance. The traditional output buffer and the design in this paper are compared and tested in the temperature range of -40°C to 125°C based on Simulink and Cadence simulation platforms. The results show that the output voltage fluctuation of the traditional buffer reaches ±1.2V, while the design in this paper reduces the fluctuation range to ±0.3V, and the stability is improved by 75%; the signal transmission delay is reduced from 15ns to 8ns, and the transmission efficiency is improved by 46.7%; at the same time, the power consumption is reduced by 30%.
