Stability Assessment of DC-DC Interlinking Converters in Solar Energy Systems Using SISO and MIMO Impedance- Based Techniques

The study explores the applicability of SISO (Single-Input Single-Output) and MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) impedance-based stability assessment techniques for DC-DC interlinking converters in solar energy systems. DC-DC converters are quite important in photovoltaic systems in order to achieve proper energy conversion and management. Impedance-based stability analysis that models the system's input-output impedance offers deep insights into the stability behavior of power converters. The study presents a comparison between the advantages and limitations of the SISO and MIMO approaches toward assessing stability when multi-port interactions are introduced through interlinking converters. Furthermore, it investigates how the methods can be applied to solar converter systems with real-world inputs to ensure that they operate with reliable performance, avoiding instability at dynamic operating conditions. The outcome guides optimal design and control strategies for solar power applications.
