Denoising Algorithm for Gil Leakage Current Based on SSA-EEMD
Insulation defects, impurities, or other issues within gas-insulated transmission lines (GIL) can degrade the gas insulation, leading to leakage current. Persistent leakage current can heat the insulating medium, potentially causing insulation failure and compromising power transmission reliability. Accurately extracting leakage current characteristics is essential for evaluating GIL insulation health. However, environmental noise often interferes with signal acquisition, complicating this assessment. To address this, we propose a GIL leakage current denoising algorithm based on Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD) and Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA). First, EEMD is used to remove Gaussian white noise. Then, SSA is applied to eliminate narrowband signal interference, yielding a noise-free leakage current signal. Simulation results show that the proposed method effectively denoises GIL leakage current.
