Facebook Advertising Boost for a Milk Tea Business: Applying Two-Dimensional (2D) Animation Promotional Videos
This study investigated the effectiveness of using two-dimensional (2D) animation in promotional videos to enhance branding for the Cha-yee Milk Tea Shop on Facebook. The researchers developed both static images and animated video advertisements and compared their performance. To evaluate the effectiveness of each medium, a non-parametric statistical test was employed. In addition to the quantitative analysis, the researchers applied the tripartite model of attitudes, which encompasses cognitive, affective, and conative components. The survey sought to gauge consumers’ attitudes toward the brand, focusing on their beliefs, feelings, and behavioral intentions related to the products offered by Cha-yee Milktea Shop. The results of the study demonstrated a significant positive effect of animated promotional videos on consumer interactions and sales figures. The animated format consistently outperformed the static images, indicating that consumers were more engaged and responsive to the animated content. Feedback from consumers revealed that the animated advertisements elicited positive emotions, particularly feelings of happiness. Respondents also expressed an increased belief in the brand and a higher likelihood of making a purchase after viewing the animated ads. The mascot also contributed to the improved perception of the brand, enhancing its appeal and memorability. The study concluded that the use of animated promotional videos not only significantly boosts consumer engagement but also positively influences sales, suggesting that animation serves as a highly effective advertising tool for small businesses looking to improve their brand presence.
