Influence of design features of moves on soil compaction in agricultural conditions
Soil compaction under the influence of agricultural machinery is a serious agroecological problem, leading to a decrease in crop yields by 15–30 %. The design parameters of the movers (wheeled and tracked) have a decisive influence on the intensity of soil compaction. The article analyzes the mechanisms of soil compaction, design features of various types of movers and their impact on the soil, and also presents the author’s classification of movers by the degree of compaction effect.
