Impact of Digitalization on Low-Carbon Transition in Manufacturing

Against the backdrop of global climate change, manufacturing, as a major source of carbon emissions, plays a critical role in achieving the "dual-carbon" goals. The rapid development of digital technologies provides new opportunities for low-carbon transition in manufacturing. This study utilizes panel data from 30 Chinese provinces from 2011 to 2022 to construct a relational model among digitalization, low-carbon transition in manufacturing, and technological innovation, tested using Stata 18.0. The results highlight the significant mediating role of technological innovation in promoting the impact of digitalization on low-carbon transition in manufacturing.
