The article is devoted to the study of the role of leisure in the formation of a student's personality in the context of modern Kazakhstani society. The purpose of the study of the topic of the article is to identify the influence of various types of leisure activities on the personal development of students, the adaptation of students to the educational environment and the social integration of students. The main areas of the study include the analysis of the psycho-emotional impact of leisure, the role of cultural and social factors, the influence of technology on the leisure activities of young people. The scientific significance of the study of this problem lies in the in-depth study of the relationship between leisure and personal development of students. This, in turn, allows us to identify key aspects that affect the academic and social activity of students.The practical significance lies in the proposed recommendations for improving the leisure infrastructure and organizing student leisure in Kazakhstan. They contribute to more effective socialization of young people and the formation of an active civic position.The research methodology is based on the analysis of existing theories of leisure and personality psychology, as well as on an empirical study, which includes surveys and interviews among university students. The value of the conducted research is in the development of practical recommendations for educational institutions, government bodies and youth organizations to improve the quality of students’ leisure time and maintain their psycho-emotional well-being.
