AI and Consumer Behavior in e commerce Platforms Using Social Media Analytics and Economic Indicators

This paper presents the revolutionary aspect of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on consumer behavior in e-commerce sites, with the focus on embedded social media statistics and economic variables. With the development of e-commerce into the data-driven landscape, online shopping experience is being transformed by AI technologies like recommendation engines, chatbots, predictive analytics and voice assistants. They empower hyper personalized interaction and make customers more satisfied with the help of processing real-time data and following consumer preferences. The social media analytics acts as a significant mediating factor as it provides an understanding of consumer attitude, trend, and online communications, which enables marketers to develop a specific and appropriate response. At the same time, economic factors, including inflation rates, income, and consumer confidence, play a pivotal role in decision-making and form input to AI models, increasing their forecasting potential. Nonetheless, ethical and privacy issues, such as algorithmic bias, misuse on data, and transparency are also highlighted in the study, playing a critical role in building consumer trust and success of AI adoption in the long run. The study cites demographic variance (age, culture, and digital literacy) as one of the main moderators of AI-powered consumer receptivity to the targeted tools. Based on the extensive literature review and conceptual model, the paper demonstrates how it is required to achieve the interdisciplinary convergence of the behavioral science, economic modeling, and digital ethics. The results indicate that balanced, inclusive and ethically regulated AI based on system can help the e-commerce business develop sustainability, grow consumer loyalty and help the business make smarter and flexible decisions. The present paper helps to address the existing knowledge gap by suggesting a multidimensional framework of AI adoption in digital retail ecosystems.
