Enhancing Digital Supply Chain Management and Product Traceability with cybersecurity through the Use of Blockchain and AI

As the integration of blockchain technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity reshapes digital supply chain management (SCM) and product traceability with enhanced security, transparency, and operational efficiency. With challenges including data breaches, counterfeiting and fraud in global supply chains, securing immutable transaction records via blockchain and real-time profiles using AI empowers firms to match products with origins and consumers more accurately than ever. However, with the increasing complexity of digital SCM, the risks of cyberattacks on critical supply chain infrastructures are becoming more significant, highlighting the growing need for robust cybersecurity measures. In this paper, we investigate the synergistic role played by the integration of AI, Blockchain, and Cybersecurity frameworks in enhancing product tracing and securing SC networks against potential cyber threats. Blockchain offers a permanent ledger that delivers transparency and trust, and AI algorithms allow large datasets to be analyzed, predicting demand, identifying anomalies, and optimizing decision-making processes. With cybersecurity protocols in place, these technologies can reduce risks of data theft, hacking and supply chain manipulation. Its industry case studies (including pharmaceuticals, electronics, and food) offer a glimpse of how they may be able to use AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity in good supply chain transparency and security. The paper also discusses major challenges such as regulatory compliance, technological scalability, and data privacy and mapping implementation strategies. Study findings indicate the integration of such technologies improves resilience in the supply chain by preventing fraud and ensuring the authenticity of the product, thus paving the way for a more secure and efficient global supply chain ecosystem.
