The prepared glass microspheres were X-ray amorphous. The thermal properties of prepared glasses were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and high temperature X-ray diffraction. The results showed a significant influence of bismuth on the thermal properties. With increasing Bi content, the crystallization pattern of gehlenite changes from a single step to a two-step one.
