Implementation of SDON for Industrial Internet and Industry 4.0 in Google Colab
The rising demand from Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet requires efficient, high-speed, and largescale data transfer solutions. Traditional optical networks, with their static architectures, are often unable to dynamically adapt to changing traffic conditions. To address this challenge, this paper proposes the implementation of a Software-Defined Optical Network (SDON) to optimize network management, improve resource allocation, and enhance performance in large-scale and high-speed data transmission. This paper aims to implement an SDON-based network model in Python to support high-capacity, real-time data transmission, making it ideal for data center networks and industrial applications. Simulated results ensure better performance in terms of delay, throughput, and packet loss for an IP-based framework. This result also certifies the framework’s scalability which best suits the Industrial Internet application.
