A Robust Deep Learning Approach for Multiclass Pulmonary Disorders Detection from Thoracic Radiograph
The lifestyle and healthcare systems around the world are being affected by the alarming proliferation of lung illnesses. One way to help stop the spread of disease is via quick and precise medical diagnoses made possible by deep learning. The use of radiological imaging in computer-aided applications has recently received a lot of attention. Automated detection of pulmonary diseases. This study focuses on the necessity for effective and reliable diagnostic instruments to assist radiologists and clinicians. The methodology employed deep learning for the categorization of lung disorders utilizing chest X-rays from a dataset of approximately 5,000 images categorized into four groups: Pneumonia, Lung Opacity, Covid, and Normal. Initially, we preprocess the input X-ray pictures to enhance quality through contrast enhancement, noise reduction, and image smoothing, followed by the extraction of significant features utilizing the suggested model. The assessment of our methods is performed using datasets of more than 6000 images, resulting in notable average accuracy and other necessary metrics. A comparative examination reveals the superiority of our proposed method compared to existing methodologies. Consequently, our technology demonstrates promising outcomes for the efficient screening of individuals with lung illnesses. This research introduces an innovative and efficient approach for the automated identification of lung illness utilizing X-ray pictures. A comparative assessment against current methodologies demonstrates its enhanced accuracy, establishing it as a significant tool for the accurate identification of lung illness.
