Fabry-Perot based Flexible System for Human Pulse Monitoring
Sensitive wearable technologies that can monitor vital bodily functions such as heart rate have become more relevant for both personal and public health. We demonstrate a wearable system with a flexible cavity embedded in a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) membrane that can detect the low frequency of 1 Hz. This ability makes the system more effective for low-frequency-based human pulse detection. Furthermore, the suggested method allows for the reliable and consistent measurement of pulse rate in a variety of locations, including the wrist, elbow, and fingertip. This system could be utilized as a wearable device for a variety of medical conditions.
