Corrugated Directional SIW Linearly Tapered Slot Antenna with Novel Co-Axial Feeding for C-Band Application
Traditionally SIW H-plane sectoral horn antennas have low impedance matching when the thickness of the substrate is less than one tenth of lambda. Most of the existing H-plane horn designs are having operating frequency greater than 10GHz; because as operating frequency increases thickness of the substrate will not be a big problem. we designed a simple corrugated SIW linearly tapered slot antenna fed by novel coaxial feeding with FR-4 Epoxy as substrate; of thickness 0.0245 lambda and without any impedance matching structures. The proposed design gives combined benefits of horn and slot operating from 4.6 to 8GHz having peak measured gain up to 6.636dB.
