AI Models for Identifying Early Signs of Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a long-lasting autoimmune disease of the brain and spinal cord that can make people disabled if it is not found and treated quickly. Early evaluation is important for better patient results, but the signs of the disease often look like those of other brain conditions, making it harder to find in time. This essay looks at how Artificial Intelligence (AI) models can be used to find early signs of Multiple Sclerosis by looking at complicated trends in medical data such as MRI scans, clinical exams, and biomarkers. Using machine learning methods like Support Vector Machines (SVM), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), and Random Forests (RF), the study shows that early spotting can be done automatically, which makes diagnosis more accurate and faster. The AI models are taught on big datasets that include different stages of MS, such as the early and increasing stages. This lets them find small differences that may mean the disease has started. The study also talks about how feature selection methods can improve model performance by focussing on the most important markers for MS. Using AI-powered testing tools in clinical practice could change the way MS is found and tracked, leading to more personalised treatment plans and better ways to control the disease. In the future, researchers will work on making models more stable, dealing with datasets that aren't fair, and testing these models in real clinical settings. In general, this study shows how AI has the ability to change the way MS is diagnosed early, which will lead to more effective treatment and a better quality of life for patients.
